Introducing: Elena Cervantes

Harvest Valley Elementary

Elena has been part of the Romoland School District community for four years. As a mother of two boys and a classified substitute for the district for two years, she understands firsthand the importance of a supportive and engaged school environment in nurturing children's growth and development.

When asked about her motivation to become a Parent Ambassador, Elena shared her desire to be more involved in the Romoland school community. She enjoys volunteering at Harvest Valley Elementary, where her children attend, and saw the role as an opportunity to deepen her engagement and contribute meaningfully to the district's success.

As a Parent Ambassador, Elena hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges our community faces. Her commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all families underscores her dedication to making a positive impact within our schools.

Mesa View Elementary

Nicole has been part of the Romoland School District community for three years now. As a resident of the area for 15 years, she brings a wealth of local knowledge and experience to her role as a Parent Ambassador.

Nicole's dedication to education is evident both in her personal and professional life. As a wife and mother to an eight-year-old son, she understands firsthand the importance of a strong school-home partnership. Nicole holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has recently re-entered the teaching field as a substitute teacher after dedicating time to raising her son. Her involvement in the PTA and the Menifee sports community underscores her commitment to supporting children's holistic development.

Nicole's motivation to become a Parent Ambassador stems from her desire to enhance parental involvement and act as a bridge between families and the school. She believes that fostering open communication and building community relationships are crucial for our students' success.

For families new to the district, Nicole offers a simple yet profound piece of advice: get involved. She understands that active participation in school activities not only enriches the educational experience for children but also strengthens the bonds within the community.

Erica Thornton 

Introducing: Erica Thornton

Mesa View Elementary

Erica's journey with Romoland School District began nine years ago when her family became part of the community. With two children attending Mesa View and Ethan A Chase, Erica has been deeply involved in both the educational and extracurricular aspects of RSD schools. As a US Navy Veteran, an Amazon employee, a recently hired classified substitute for RSD, and a volunteer at Mesa View, Erica brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role as a Parent Ambassador. Her 15-year marriage and love for her family and community serve as the cornerstone of her dedication to improving schools.

Erica's motivation to become a Parent Ambassador stems from her belief in the importance of involvement. She hopes to leverage her experience to help make our schools even better for all families. Through her role, she aims to share valuable resources, provide support to parents, students, and staff, and emphasize the significance of active participation within the school community. 

For Erica, being a Parent Ambassador means fostering closer ties between families and schools. She believes in the power of communication and encourages new families to reach out for support and guidance. Erica is dedicated to ensuring that all families feel supported and welcomed within our district.

Outside of her roles within the district, Erica enjoys spending time with her family, including her two dogs, and indulging in her passion for sports, particularly baseball. Camping, boating, and cooking are among her favorite activities.

Rocio Navarro

Romoland Elementary

Having been part of the Romoland School District as a student and now as a parent, Rocio understands the essence of our community. Her journey with RSD has been one of active involvement, from volunteering to participating in various committees. It's this commitment and passion for fostering strong family-school partnerships that motivated Rocio to step into the role of Parent Ambassador.

As a Parent Ambassador, Rocio aims to enhance family involvement and strengthen the connection between the school and the community.

For families new to Romoland Elementary, Rocio encourages them to engage in Tiger Talk meetings, an excellent opportunity to connect with the school principal, stay updated on school matters, and build relationships with fellow parents.

With four years of active involvement in our district, Kimberlee brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role.

In her personal life, Kimberlee is a proud wife and mother to two children, one in second grade and one in kindergarten. Professionally, she currently serves as a classified substitute within the Romoland School District, further deepening her connection to our educational community.

What inspired Kimberlee to step into the role of Parent Ambassador? Her motivation stems from her children, whose education and well-being are her top priorities. However, Kimberlee's dedication extends beyond her own family; she is passionate about fostering a sense of community among all students, families, and staff within our district.

Raylene Figueroa

Introducing: Raylene Figueroa
Boulder Ridge Elementary / New TK-8 School

Raylene has been part of the Romoland School District community for over 6 1/2 years. Her family-oriented nature extends beyond her role as a parent, as she has been with her husband for 15 years, married for 12 years, and is a proud mother to three sons aged 14, 13, and 9, along with a 7-year-old daughter. As a stay-at-home parent, Raylene generously volunteers her time at the school, serving as PTO secretary and running a “Copy Committee” for teachers. Her dedication to serving wherever and whenever needed embodies her commitment to the school community.

When asked about her motivation to become a Parent Ambassador, Raylene expressed her desire to bridge the gap between the school and parents. With her active engagement among Boulder Ridge parents and guardians, she saw this opportunity as a means to address any unanswered questions or provide necessary resources, thereby enhancing communication and understanding between the school and families.

Raylene hopes to foster a sense of unity and collaboration within the school community, ensuring that all parents and guardians feel welcomed and supported. Tiffany Vasquez

Tiffany and her family have been part of the Romoland School District community for four years now. In her own words, she describes herself as a proud wife and mother to three wonderful girls. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic right as she moved to Perris, Tiffany and her family have found solace in each other, cherishing the moments spent together and making the most of their new experiences.

Her motivation to become a Parent Ambassador stems from a deep-rooted commitment to her children's education and a desire to make a positive impact in her community. Understanding the significance of parental involvement in the educational journey, Tiffany aims to bridge the gap between parents, schools, and the community at large. Additionally, Tiffany serves as the President of the Parent Teacher Organization at Boulder Ridge Elementary, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to supporting the school community.

In her role as a Parent Ambassador, Tiffany hopes to achieve several crucial goals, including improved communication, increased parental involvement, and providing support for families. Bobbie has been part of the Romoland School District community for seven years, initially starting as a volunteer when her eldest child entered kindergarten in 2017. Her commitment to volunteering speaks volumes about her dedication to fostering a supportive educational environment for all students.

Residing in the vibrant community of Menifee, Bobbie treasures her Heritage Lake neighborhood. When she's not actively engaged in community initiatives, you can find her unwinding at home, indulging in her passions for dancing, cooking, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

As a Parent Ambassador, Bobbie is motivated by a deep-seated desire to contribute positively to the educational journey of every student at Ethan A. Chase Middle School. She is eager to offer counsel, support, and encouragement to families, ensuring that every student feels empowered to thrive academically and personally.

Bobbie's mantra, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much," epitomizes her belief in the power of collaboration and community spirit. Beatriz Martinez

Introducing: Beatriz Martinez
Ethan A. Chase Middle School

Beatriz brings six years of experience within our community and a wealth of insights from her journey as a parent.

Beatriz is no stranger to the joys and challenges of parenthood. With four daughters ranging from the ages of 14 to 28, she's a seasoned mom navigating the adventures of teenage life for the second time around. Alongside her husband of 16 years, Beatriz embraces the diverse roles of a parent, grandparent, chef, scheduler, life coach, and dedicated school volunteer.

Beatriz's decision to become a Parent Ambassador was fueled by the welcoming atmosphere and collaborative spirit of her fellow parent volunteers. She recognized the opportunity to contribute her time and energy to the shared goal of enhancing our schools' environments.

Beatriz aims to strengthen the partnership between parents and the school system by fostering open communication and collaboration, not only within their individual school but also as a district. 

Beatriz emphasizes the importance of engagement and advocacy within the school community.
