Elementary S.T.E.A.M.

The Elementary S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) program provides students with engaging, hands-on, science driven activities that allow them to think like a scientist! These S.T.E.A.M. experiences build on students’ imagination and natural curiosity to investigate and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

By incorporating technology, engineering, language arts, and math into science instruction, students are exposed to real-world concepts in multiple ways. Each letter in S.T.E.A.M represents a unique lens for students to view concepts through. This approach allows them to think critically about the phenomena being investigated.

The goal of the Elementary S.T.E.A.M program is to provide students with content that applies to the real-world, eliminating the question of, “Why do I need to know this?”  Students take ownership when they become active participants, driving their own learning experiences. They work collaboratively to conduct experiments, solve problems and demonstrate their understanding through a variety of activities that communicate their thinking.

Every Elementary S.T.E.A.M unit culminantes with an opportunity for students to apply their newly acquired skills as they work to invent and engineer solutions to the many challenges we face today!
