Mesa View Launches Into the 7 Habits with Leader in Me!
Mesa View Mustangs are excited to begin the implementation of the “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Franklin Covey for students through the Leader in Me program!
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People are:
Habit 1: Be Proactive (You’re in Charge)
Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind (Have a Plan)
Habit 3: Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play)
Habit 4: Think Win-Win (Everyone Can Win)
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood (Listen Before You Talk)
Habit 6: Synergize (Together Is Better)
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw (Balance Feels Best)
All Mesa View Elementary students are learning about the 7 Habits and are excited to infuse these skills and practices across campus! Through the Leader in Me, Mesa View students and staff will learn to use common language and build an understanding of how to work effectively, independently, and interdependently to succeed in and out of the classroom.
Tying these essential life skills to curriculum with intention and purpose has already brought a positive outcome to students. Mesa View is thrilled to be sharing these practices with students as they learn and grow while continuing to IGNITE A LOVE OF LEARNING every day at Mesa View Elementary!
