We are thrilled to recognize Stefany Grainger, Library Technician at Ethan A. Chase Middle School (EACMS), as one of our October Shining Stars! Stefany's dedication to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters learning and connection for all students makes her an invaluable member of our team.
Stefany has been with the Romoland School District since 2014, transitioning from a volunteer to a full-time employee in 2017. EACMS Principal, Kristie Jackson, notes that Stefany has become an "integral part of the team," bringing creativity and warmth to her role. Over the years, she has transformed the library into a safe haven where students feel valued and inspired. Beyond organizing books and managing resources, Stefany has introduced interactive makerspace activities for RISE students, enhancing the library’s role as an educational and engaging space.
One of Stefany’s greatest joys in her position is building meaningful relationships with students and guiding them as they explore new books and learn to use library resources. Stefany finds immense fulfillment in helping students feel confident and empowered in their learning journeys. She’s also a cherished champion of the annual Book Fair, a highlight for her and her students alike.
"Stefany is a 'Shining Star' because she goes above and beyond to make every student feel welcomed and engaged," says Mrs. Jackson. Her impact resonates not only with students but with staff and the greater community, all of whom benefit from her enthusiasm and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
