Shining Star: Nancy Sanchez

The Romoland School District is proud to recognize Nancy Lyzethe Sanchez, Health Technician at Harvest Valley, as one of this month’s Shining Stars. Nancy exemplifies the very best of our district through her compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to student well-being.

Nancy brings a sense of calm, organization, and genuine care to the Harvest Valley health office each day. Her presence creates a safe, welcoming environment where students know they will be supported and cared for. Whether she is responding to daily health needs or managing unexpected situations, Nancy consistently puts students first, approaching every interaction with empathy and professionalism.

Since joining the district, Nancy has embraced her role with heart and purpose. She shares that what she enjoys most is “being able to help our students feel good, healthy, and ready to learn.” Her work ensures that students can remain in school and fully engage in their education, even when facing health challenges. From providing medical support and supplies to offering a safe space for students in need, Nancy plays a critical role in removing barriers to learning.

Beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, Nancy’s impact reaches far into the school community. She supports students with essential needs—whether it’s providing menstrual products, assisting during emergencies, or helping with clothing when families face logistical challenges. Her care and attentiveness reflect a deep understanding of the whole child and the importance of dignity and support in every situation.

Nancy shares that she is “beyond grateful to play such an important role” in the lives of students and hopes to inspire future generations to pursue careers in healthcare. Through her actions, she is already doing just that, modeling compassion, service, and dedication every single day.

We are honored to celebrate Nancy Sanchez as a Romoland “Shining Star.” Her nurturing spirit and commitment make a lasting difference at Harvest Valley and across our district
