Shining Star: Kayla Abrahamian

This month, we’re proud to recognize Ms. Kayla Abrahamian, first-grade teacher at Granite Hills, as a Romoland School District Shining Star! Ms. Abrahamian exemplifies what it means to lead with heart, positivity, and a deep dedication to students and colleagues alike.

Now in her fifth year with RSD, Ms. Abrahamian radiates enthusiasm in all she does—from creating joyful, engaging lessons filled with songs and chants to modeling respect and teamwork across campus. Following Be GLAD professional development earlier this year, she quickly implemented new strategies into her classroom and went above and beyond to support her first-grade DLI team with pacing and technology to ensure their success.

Her impact extends well beyond the classroom. Ms. Abrahamian can often be found lending a hand wherever needed—preparing materials, supervising recess, and even supporting the middle school choir during the Granite Hills Dedication Ceremony, where she helped build students’ confidence before they performed.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, she shared, “I love being able to collaborate with other teachers and staff members to find new and exciting ways to help our students grow!” Her warm, energetic spirit not only inspires her students but also strengthens the sense of community that defines Granite Hills.

Thank you, Ms. Abrahamian, for your passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to your students and school. You truly embody the spirit of a Shining Star!
