The Romoland School District is proud to recognize Jamie White, 4th Grade Teacher at Boulder Ridge Elementary, as this month’s Shining Star. Jamie is celebrated for her exceptional dedication to her students, her leadership across campus, and her positive impact on the entire school community.

As a classroom teacher, Jamie creates an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow. She skillfully balances strong academic expectations with meaningful relationships, ensuring that every student is seen, valued, and encouraged to succeed. Jamie describes her love for teaching as embracing the “controlled chaos,” the powerful, unscripted moments when curiosity and learning come alive. It’s in these moments that her passion for education truly shines.

Beyond her classroom, Jamie serves as a grade-level lead, where she plays an instrumental role in fostering collaboration among her peers. She supports instructional planning, encourages data-driven decision-making, and contributes to a cohesive and positive team dynamic. Her colleagues know her as a trusted leader who is always willing to step in and support others.

Jamie’s impact extends even further through her roles as ASB Advisor and Junior Lighthouse Coordinator. In these positions, she empowers students to develop leadership skills, take ownership of their school experience, and engage in meaningful service to their community. Through schoolwide events and student-led initiatives, Jamie helps build a culture of connection, pride, and purpose across campus.

Reflecting on her work, Jamie shares that her goal is to contribute to a school environment “where students feel empowered, staff feel supported, and families feel connected.” She emphasizes that this work is never done alone and credits her colleagues and community for their ongoing support and collaboration.

With nine years of service in the Romoland School District, Jamie exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated educator and leader. Her influence is felt not only in the success of her students but in the strength and spirit of the Boulder Ridge community.
