The Romoland School District is excited to share the latest update on its newest addition, Granite Hills School, which is set to open in August 2025. The school will serve students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade and is located west of Goetz Road on Ethanac Road.
Construction Progress
As of now, Granite Hills School is approximately 40% complete, and construction is progressing on schedule. While the project is still under development, parents and community members can expect to see regular updates as the build continues. Photos of the ongoing construction will be shared to offer the community a sneak peek at the highly anticipated campus.
A Unique Learning Experience
Granite Hills will offer an innovative Dual Language Immersion Program, which will begin in Kindergarten and First Grade classrooms. This program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to become bilingual, bi-literate, and culturally aware—skills that will be invaluable in today’s global society.
Leadership and Community Engagement
The school will be led by Principal Mrs. Kait Punzel, who is actively engaging the community to gather input on their vision for Granite Hills School. “We want Granite Hills to be a reflection of our community’s hopes and values,” said Mrs. Punzel. The mission and vision of the school will be developed in collaboration with the future staff to align with the shared goals of all stakeholders.
Enrollment and Transfer Opportunities
Enrollment for Granite Hills will begin in February 2025. While the school will primarily serve students living within its attendance boundaries, families outside the area will also have the option to apply for transfers. However, space for transfers will be limited.
Stay Connected
Parents who have already expressed interest in being involved with the school will be contacted directly by Principal Punzel this fall. This communication will provide opportunities for engagement and further updates as the school approaches its grand opening.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project, including upcoming events and ways to get involved as we prepare to launch Granite Hills School in 2025!
