On May 14th, Romoland School District proudly hosted its annual English Learner Reclassification and Bilingual Educators Succeeding Together (B.E.S.T.) Celebration, recognizing the achievements of both students and staff who support English Learners across our schools.
The event honored students who have successfully reclassified as Fluent English Proficient—an important academic milestone that reflects their perseverance, growth, and dedication to learning. Families and staff gathered to celebrate these students’ success and the hard work they’ve put into mastering a second language.
In addition, the celebration included the presentation of the B.E.S.T. Awards, which recognize district and countywide employees for their unparalleled support in advancing academic achievement for English Learners. Each year, one individual is honored in the following categories: parent/guardian volunteer, support personnel, para-educator, teacher, and administrator. These exceptional individuals are nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding service on behalf of English Learners.
