Romoland School District Expanding Learning Programs strive to be a community asset by providing a safe after school environment focused on: academic excellence, personal opportunities to succeed, positive peer and adult interaction, and community involvement.
Goals:- Improve students’ literacy skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
- Develop students’ cultural capital with opportunities for enrichment (computers, art, and science)
- Build students’ college and career readiness
Voyagers Program (K-5)
The Voyagers Expanded Learning Programs are located at Harvest Valley Elementary School and Romoland Elementary School. Voyagers follows the regular school year calendar. However, Voyagers has three In-Service days during the school year. **All In-Service days are non-student days for Voyagers. These will be days the students will still have school during the regular school day, but no program after school.**
Hours of operation: Daily, from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
Tuition: Voyagers is an ASES Grant funded program. Therefore, all students who attend the program are able to attend free of charge.
How to enroll: Currently there are waiting lists at both Harvest Valley and Romoland Elementary Schools.
To be placed on a wait list: Download an application or pick one up in the school’s front office. Return competed enrollment packet to the school’s front office. The Site Lead will contact the parent/guardian prior to the student’s first day of attending the program. Priority will be given to students with identified academic or family-situation needs.
BASE Voyagers ProgramThe BASE Voyagers Program (Before and After School Education) is located at Boulder Ridge Elementary School, Mesa View Elementary School, and Ethan A. Chase Middle School.
BASE is open on all regular school days.Hours of operation: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. at Boulder Ridge Elementary School and Mesa View Elementary School. All BASE Voyagers programs, including BASE at Ethan A. Chase Middle School, start immediately following school dismissal and are open until 6:00 p.m.
Tuition: BASE is a fee based program which is funded by parent/guardian monthly tuition fees. Tuition is determined on a sliding scale.
How to enroll: Download an application or pick one up in the school’s front office. Return competed enrollment packet to the school’s front office. Once the application has been turned in, please allow 1-2 business days for processing. The BASE Lead will contact the parent/guardian prior to the student’s first day of attending the BASE program.
