Hello and welcome to Romoland Elementary! I am so excited about our upcoming year in virtual TK and Kindergarten.
I have been teaching at Romoland School District since 2017 and began my teaching career in 2002. I love teaching and as am excited about it today as when I began. I have taught grades TK-5 and Drama Club.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Campbell University in North Carolina, where my husband and I were stationed while he was in the Air Force. After completing many other education courses in teaching methodology, special education, and ELD at USD, CSUSB, and CSUSM, I completed my Masters Degree and TK Certification with University of La Verne. Most recently, I have completed quite a lot of technology and virtual instruction courses to learn about what works best for young children in this new mode of instruction.
On the weekends, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and two children. We read together, hike, play games, go to church, explore at zoos and museums, play video games, go to plays, go camping, fishing, and boating. I love to travel and see things around the world that I read about in books. My favorite color changes between shades of blue, aqua, and purple depending on the day, as I love to paint and enjoy colors and how they work together. Science projects with my kids and finding a new story we can all read together are other favorites. When my family is occupied, I enjoy crocheting and working in my garden. As you can probably tell, I like to be busy.
Please sign up to receive class communications on Seesaw for our TK and Kinder virtual class. I love working closely with my families and will provide you with the most recent news through the app. We will be using many resources to have a fun year of learning together that challenges each of our children at their level. I can’t wait to meet you and your child and begin our journey together!
