Ms. Reed

Heya!

I'm Ms. Reed! I always loved school as a kid and always knew I wanted to do something in a school when I grew up. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology and sociology. After I finished my undergrad studies, I went to Cal State San Bernardino where I earned a multiple-subject teaching credential. Before I became a teacher, I worked as an elementary school librarian and as a long-term substitute teacher and also earned single-subject credentials in English and social studies making me qualified to teach in all grades from K-12. I earned my Master's degree in supporting English Learners in October 2018.

Before coming to Chase, I worked for two years at a charter school. My experience in the elementary school library and at the charter school really helped me figure out who I wanted to be as a teacher. I've taught grades 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, but I think I've found my home in middle school :) This is my 4th year at Chase and my 6th year being a teacher. I'm currently teaching 7th-grade language arts and 7th-grade literacy support.

In my free time, I like spending time with my husband and my daughter, Ophelia. We like eating, reading, watching movies, playing video games, and going on adventures to new places so we can see how people different from us live and enjoy their lives.
