Mrs. Soderman

Teaching the AVID Elective is Mrs. Soderman's passion and she is thrilled to have a full schedule of AVID Elective classes this school year! 

Prior to moving to Eastvale, CA, in July of 2016, Mrs. Soderman spent 16 years in Gilbert/Mesa, AZ, and was born and raised in the Chicago, IL area.

Mrs. Soderman is an avid reader, amateur photographer (see photo gallery page for some favorite shots!), and sports fan.  More often than not, if the TV is on in her home, it is tuned to a channel featuring a Bears, Cubs, or Blackhawks game.  Whenever she is not lesson planning or grading papers or reading or watching sports or taking photos, she enjoys spending time with her family.  Her father, brother, and nieces live in the Chicago suburbs. Her oldest daughter (age 27) lives in Austin, TX and her youngest daughter (age 25) is still living in Phoenix and got married in March of 2021.  Mrs. Soderman, her husband (Leo), step-kid Casey (20), along with their two dogs (Westley and Zoe) live in Corona.

Mrs. Soderman also serves as the EACMS AVID Site Coordinator.
