It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to welcome you to a new school year. My name is Mr. Bunn and I am your Mathematics teacher. I graduated from California State University of Long Beach with a Bachelor degree in Liberal Studies and Natural Science. I am certified in GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) and Mathematics. Four years ago, I received my Master’s in Teaching with Technology Emphasis from National University. This will be my tenth year here at Romoland School District.
Since we will have a busy and exciting year ahead of us, it is imperative that parents and students understand all classroom rules and expectations. During this first week of school, the students will have the opportunity to cover some rules and expectations for our class. I want to send a copy of what we discussed for you to keep at home, so that through working as a team, we can ensure that your child finds success in our classroom.
As the district moves forward in RTI and PLC models, students will be exposed to a variety of constructivist learning methods. Such methods will include direct instructions, small groups working together, KAGAN strategies, projects that are based on current common core standards, and classroom interactions that engage students to expand their critical thinking skills.
In addition, many other methods will also be implemented throughout the year. To enhance learning, I will prepare homework assignments that will go along with our classroom discussions. Please browse through this website to get updates on your assignments.
I can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 951-566-4400 ext. 5311.
