I am excited to have the opportunity to teach kindergarten for my 12th straight year!  I taught special education for 7 years prior to that.  I did not go into teaching directly from college though.  My undergraduate major was Recreation Therapy/Child Life Specialist.  After an internship in Orange County, I worked at a children's hospital (CHOC) for 5 years.  

My wife Jackie is a school nurse in Nuevo, my oldest son Luke is attending Cal Poly SLO (majoring in computer engineering), and my younger son Dylan is an elementary education major at Point Loma Nazerene University.  We are fortuate to spend the summers in New Hampshire (all of my family is on the East coast) and also get to see my wife's side of family during the year since they all live in CA.  

I love teaching and am looking forward to a great year with this special group of kids!
