District Information
About the District
Romoland School District is located in a small suburban community 22 miles south of Riverside, and 60 miles north of San Diego, just east of Interstate 215.
The District currently serves over 4,800 students, residing over 32 square miles. To date, 525 people are employed on either a full or part-time basis. The District's schools are organized into four TK-5 schools, one 6-8 middle school and one TK-8 alternative school of choice that offers a virtual learning program, a home school program, and a middle school academy program. Students matriculate to Heritage High School, in the Perris Union High School District, for grades 9-12.
Romoland School District takes pride in its academic program. We not only value the academic core such as language arts, math, science and social science, but we also ensure that our students have access to the arts and physical education. We feel that instructional technology has a strong role in all subject areas to help create a more engaging, creative learning environment and prepare our students for a future where technology literacy is key. At all Romoland schools, computing devices are available for all students to use in the classroom as part of regular daily instruction. In grades TK-5, Chromebooks are available to individual students at a 1:1 ratio for use in class throughout the school day. Grades 6-8 are also 1:1 with Chromebooks, and students are able to take devices home during the school year and through the summer to enable 24/7/365 learning.
For our elementary schools, we have two full-time physical education teachers that provide a structured environment for students to learn games and have exposure to physical activities that will help them understand the value of the lifelong physical activity. Our middle school students have a physical education class during grades 6-8.
We are pleased to offer a variety of visual and performing arts for students. Elementary students have access to an elementary music teacher to begin the journey of learning music and instruments. Our middle school students can choose to participate in our ever-growing band program, drama classes, and our most recent addition of choir.
We strive to provide our students with the academic foundation they need to prepare for their future and at the same time give them opportunities to explore their artistic and athletic talents.
